Karen Berlin Ishii: Boston Academic Tutors is coordinated by Karen Berlin Ishii, a graduate of Brown University, who has over 20 years' experience teaching classes and tutoring students ranging in age from four to adult.
Prior to launching Boston Academic Tutors, Karen was a popular SAT class teacher and tutor for The Princeton Review. While leading Boston Academic Tutors, she focuses on tutoring all sections of the SAT and ACT, and also offers tutoring in reading and writing skills, math, and college admissions essay and applications consulting. Karen currently makes the Upper West Side of New York City her base, teaching students there in-person and those around the world by Skype. She teaches all sections of the SAT, ACT and other standardized tests including the ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, TOEFL and others. Karen is the parent of a Northeastern University grad and a Beloit College student. Frank D'Ippolito: Frank D'Ippolito,
who did his graduate studies in mathematics at M.I.T., has been a top math tutor and class instructor for

Elena Belinkaia: Elena Belinkaia earned her MS in
Computer Science at St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and later was a visiting Research Fellow at Harvard University.
She has taught Math at the Russian School of Mathematics in Newton and was the Math League coach for the Devotion School
of Brookline. She tutors students in Math - from elementary school through high school - including test prep for the SSAT,
SAT, ACT and SAT Subject Tests in Math. She also has a wide range of expertise in computer programming for the Web and is an experienced ESL teacher. Ben Fox: Ben Fox, a graduate of Harvard College and
Stanford Graduate School of Business, is a highly experienced tutor who has been a member of the tutorial staffs of the
Brimmer & May and Fay Schools. He currently teaches in the Boston High School Equivalency Program, where he teaches adult classes.
Most of his individual tutoring is with children and teens in grades 2-10, and he has also helped adults. In addition to his students at the
Boston High School equivalency program, he has helped adults with the math required to pass the pharmacist licensing exam

Jun Ishii: Jun Ishii, a 2008 graduate of Northeastern University, scored a perfect 800 on his SAT Math test! Jun
teaches math and Japanese. He is a native Japanese speaker with dual Japanese/American citizenship and does translation and interpreting professionally, as well.
